About Me

This is my journal as a 9/11 survivor, my aftermath struggles with anxiety, depression and PTSD (mental illness) and the amazing experience of receiving God’s healing power.  Today, I am redeemed!

I’m truly delighted for this opportunity and hope you join me in this new journey as I will share the many times our Father God Jehovah- Rapha, His son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit has spiritually ministered to me. By the blood of Jesus Christ, our savior, my determination has been an unshakeable faith throughout my many storms.

After surviving a terrorist attack, my life changed forever.  The emotional rollercoaster I have experienced became my new norm…until one day I changed my focus. I moved my attention from my ‘new’ illness to my Savior…Jesus Christ. It was then, when I realized ‘God can restore what is broken and change it into something amazing. All you need is FAITH’. ~Joel 2:25

Today, more than ever we have a society so full of violence, with so many divided opinions and lack of respect for the life of others. I invite to experience the healing power that only comes from above.  I truly hope you find a lot of encouragement and resources that can help you or someone you know, find emotional and mental healing from the same source my healing came from, Jesus Christ. By His stripes we are healed!

The Purpose of this Journal

Unfortunately, we live in a society with a lot of stigma about mental illness. Despite the fact that one out of five Americans is suffering some type of mental disorder, the support its not quite there yet. The stigma of our society goes as follow. If you break your arm, everyone runs over to sign your cast right? But if you tell people you’re depressed, have anxiety attacks or any other emotional or mental illness, everyone runs the other way. That’s the stigma. We are so, so accepting of any body part breaking down, other than our brain. This is a lot of ignorance. And that ignorance has created a world that doesn’t understand mental health, specially depression. It’s time to change!

My goal is to help end the stigma of mental illness and support everyone that is struggling in silence. Nevertheless, share what the Lord has done for me. My faith in Him, prayers and His word has been the  turning point for my healing and resiliency.

What can we all do?

Please, please NEVER give up on someone with a mental illness. When we replace the word “I” in illness with “We”, the word goes from illness to WELLNESS. It’s time to love them like Jesus. #LovelikeJesus
